Zacarias Moussaoui Not Eligible For Defense From The American Civil Liberties Union

We are all familiar with the pending judgment of Zacarias Mousaoui. He allegedly conspired to participate in the 9/11 attack that shocked America. He withheld information on that attack from those who might have prevented it. He faces the possibility of execution for these crimes.
If this young Frenchman of Moroccan decent is found guilty and sentenced to death, it will be a tragic watermark for the American Judicial System.
He is inadequately defended; not an American citizen, not to be assisted by the ACLU. Many of the volatile arguments against him are focused, in the ongoing trial, on the extreme nature of the 9/11 attack, not on the issue of responsibility. Yet there are no objections from his council.
Families of 9/11 victims are in the courtroom, again, no objections.
Should he be punished? Yes. Should he be executed? No.
