You Will Always Find Rejection Letters in the Mail Box

You learn to write.
You dream of becoming a writer.
Next, you fantasize about responding to people's curious glances when you mention that you are published.
Then, you dream of selling books and having fans ask for you to sign their books.
Then, you envision the joy of becoming a famous author.
Finally, after years of work, you receive a rejection letter.
...then another.
...then another........
Then you realize that writers do not live in a dream world. The harsh reality is that writers will always receive rejection letters.
Here is where the real writer is separated from the wannabe. The real writer tosses the rejection letter and sends of a new submission. The wannabe whinnies on chats, complains in emails, and plays the martyr.
The truth is, you will always receive rejection letters.
Publishers fit into different categories:
Those that want literary fiction.
Those that want pop fiction.
Those who want books that offer readers a fast-food type of entertainment
Those who try to let the readers stew, building tension, and taunting the readers.
Those who use the AP style of Grammar, and those who use the Chicago style - and of course, there is also the British style of grammar.
There is no way to find a publisher who accepts every type of novel. So, accept the fact that you will accept rejection letters, and get on with the job of writing.
