Years ago, when I first got the internet I was absolutely thrilled to discover yahoo chat rooms. They were so much fun, and it was a great way to talk with other people. But like everything else, after awhile I got bored with them and moved on with life.

Over the last few weeks, I have visited the chat rooms again. The first time I went in there, I was astounded at the amount of spam in each room I went into. It was nothing but ads, and a percentage of men that were as interesting as a block of wood.

After learning how to ignore users with ads, that would only leave a few "real" people in the room. The men in these rooms have no common courtesy. Every message I received was some version of sex. It was so disgusting.

What a disappointment the chat rooms have become. I went in search of interesting chat and found nothing but a hotbed of sex and ads. Disrespectful men looking for quick sexual acts and women looking to make money off of these men. It's a very serious problem and it's unbelievable that Yahoo has turned the other cheek to this. If the men in these chat rooms can't act any better than that, why don't they take these ads up on their offers? And leave the regular women looking for regular things alone.
