X's AND OH's

I ran across an ex-boyfriend on myspace the other day. Actually, an ex-fiance. At first I was shocked to see him there, then figured someone probably told him it'd be good for his image (he's in the music biz).
It was a funny thing. At first I felt this pang - not that I wanted him back or anything crazy like that! But, suddenly I thought it might be nice to talk with him again. We have been seperated by time and space for a few years now. I thought, "Hey! I bet we could be friends"
So, I go looking through his page and decide to read one of his blogs. As I read the entry I could actually hear his voice in my head. Man! did THAT ever bring back memories! The way he was dramatic like a girl! I'm serious, folks! He lived for drama - the more the better! And, the way he'd drop his voice to emphasize whatever dramatic event had suddenly befallen him!
Or, the way he'd kill himself to please his "great friends". Ya, the one's who never lifted a finger for HIM or or bothered to show up at his gigs. But, when it came down to doing right by "us" or chasing after them, guess who won?
All this came back in the span of twenty-two seconds! (Yes! I counted!).......suddenly, I really wasn't sure if adding him to my friends list was such a hot idea. That lead to - "Dear God! What were you even thinking???"
Of course, the big up-side to seeing the ex there was thinking of my new film. Isn't it funny how negative people from your past can be a huge motivater???? Whenever I get distracted or try to goof off, I can think back to that myspace page and that'll get my ass back to writing! It's not that I wish bad things for him. No, not at all. But, when I saw him last I was unknown screenwriter without a clue! I want the next time to be me on his television, walking up the red carpet at Cannes! Hell, I'd even settle for the Philadelphia Film Festival!

Yeah, Spooky!!! Walkin' up that Red Carpet!
You're gonna be there, girl!
Funny, I've experienced this same thing with exes. I got to feeling so nostalgic (probably just horny) and thinking about this one ex and even went as far as to call a couple of people to see if they had heard from him. Then we got to talking about old times and I remembered just exactly why he was my EX!!! Nostalgia - it ain't all it's cracked up to be. LOL!
That's right! And soon, PW!
Yep, it's not about bad karma from me, but more that I'm sure he figures I'll never do anything. So, having that in my mind is great to motivate me! (even if it's not true!lol)
Ya, I've been there with the nostalgic vs. horny thing. The last time was with Nella's dad. But, my God he was good in bed!

Where ever you go with this movie, and you will
go places, it will be nice to know that the ex is watching, thinking to himself, "if I wasn't such a loser, I could be with her".
I'd like to think so
And, hopefully those places will include a brilliant NEW boyfriend. But, seriously, just the great career will do for me! lol ......well, ya know.....with him still feeling like a loser, too......*giggle*

oh man, that sounds like a trip. i've only run into one ex there and kinda had the same exerience you did. i thought about messaging him to say hey, then looked at his pics and kind of threw up a little in my mouth. he, after 6 years, is still the party boy, sneaky nasty little p***k that he was when i was young & stupid enough to date him. he's in his late 30's and in his pics still doing the "sexy smirk" drunk pose with all his buddies and/or random stripper types. and all his captions are just crude and stupid. some dudes never grow up.

Yep, it's funny, yet great how these things turn out, huh? Never going back is REAL EASY in these cases! even though I had no intention to do anything but say "Hi, how's life" (like you), I'm still SOOO glad I resisted! I have enough drama without opening THAT can of worms again!
