Writing Time and Money

Like most people here I like to write, but I also like to eat. My children are grown so there is no problem about working. I do some contract research, a bit of ghostwriting, and I supervise some students. But what I really want to do is to be a full time freelancer. That way I get to eat and I get to do more of what I like.

I enjoy research and working with students but I really would like more time just to write and not to have to worry about the money. At the moment more than half of my writing time seems to go into searching for openings, or sites that pay for reviews.
