Many of us get "stuck" occassionally when trying to find something to write about. Writer's block can happen even to the best of writers.
Other times, the ideas are so plentiful, we don't know what to do with them. We can't possibly write about them all during the times o' plenty.
So what to do?
At a recent writer's conference I attended, one of the speakers shared his method of keeping an Idea Farm. Basically, when the floodgates were open and ideas pouring out, he jotted them down whenever and wherever he was - might be on a napkin, business card, or any handy scrap of paper. Others may use notebooks or computer files. Either way, write down EVERY idea as it comes to you, and then keep them somewhere you can come back to when your well is dry. This speaker had a file folder box he kept them in.
It's a great idea, and a great resource for those times when your creative brain feels empty.
