A few days ago, I wrote about being able to interview bands and go see their concerts for free. Well, the woman in charge got back in touch with me, and she didn't sound concerned at all that I live in a different area. In fact, she asked me which ones are my favorite bands so she could get in touch with their labels. I mean, how cool is that?! Two of my favorites have albums coming up next year, so I'm sure they'll be wanting some promotion. Unfortunately, they aren't the kind of bands that fill entire stadiums (not exactly anyway). And tend to be more popular in Europe, so when they have a concert in the states, it's usually in a more populated area.

Plus, I just heard from my best friend. Things are going really well with her man, and he just got a permanent job (he's a musician, so work is usually kind of spotty). They are looking for a house in Australia, and the sweet girl has already ordered me to visit sometime. So it seems I've got some travel ahead of me.

I found a site that has cheap hotel reservations, and it looks like I'm going to need it in the next year. There's also whole vacation packages, although the prices weren't as good as some other places I know. But they will either match the price of other places, or offer a cancellation without the cancellation fee, so there's not too much to lose. There's also a rebate of up to $100.

Yeah, I'm A-ok with spending the next year as a jet-setter. lol Too bad I'm not getting paid for most of it, but I'll figure that out along the way. :D
