Okay, I wrote a blog about the importance of writing goals last week.
Here were the goals I said I would accomplish:
1. Finish my current ID project - due Sunday - and get a good night's sleep (at least 8 hours).
2. Start conceptualizing book project, starting with brainstorming session tomorrow.
3. Start writing one chapter - at least 1000 words, even if it's all wrong and I have to start over.
Here's my update of how I did:
1. I did finish my project - at 5:30 a.m. Sunday night - so I met my deadline (by Monday morning) but did NOT get anywhere close to 8 hours sleep.
2. I did do some brainstorming of the book - need to make that a more measurable goal though.
3. I did start writing a chapter - but was brain fried from my project - so I only have about 250 words so far.
For this week, 3/27/06-4/2/06, I will have accomplished the following by next Sunday:
1. I will complete 1000 or more words for my book.
2. I will write one to three 60 word entries for a local poetry/prose contest.
3. I will submit three articles for publication (they are already written, so this isn't as hard as it sounds).
What are YOUR goals for this week?
Happy Writing!
