The standard of refereeing in the current championship

is very very poor. There are a number of matches that can

be cited as examples. The match between The Netherlands and

Ivory Coast is one where the African team had to suffer due

to the poor judgement of the umpire. Another exampple is

It is high time that the FIFA uses instantaneous video

transmissions to remove the factor of poor judgement,

prejudices etc from the referees and which goes against

the teams and players.It is needed to offer a level playing

field to all.
