*This WAS a sponsored post.

I wrote about how I almost moved to the UK, and how it would be for a job. This was a sponsored post, but it keeps getting turned down. But I can't tell why, and it's not like the advertising company can be bothered to tell me. So, this is a freebie, without the links. Tell me what's missing and I'll give some serious consideration to whether it's worth it. Frankly though, I think I've already passed that point.

A while back, my husband and I almost moved overseas. We knew that he would qualify for an HSMP visa, which meant that unlike normal visas, it isn't tied to his specific job. It allowed him to go over, find a job, and if he didn't like it, he could switch. The idea behind this type of visa is to bring highly skilled workers into the UK. We were on something of a time crunch, because we knew that he gets extra points before a certain age, and he was about to have a birthday that would put him over. We finally decided not to go. We were in too precarious a financial state to do it like we wanted. We knew that if we were supposed to get overseas, we would make it. But still, one of the places I wanted to go the most was to work in Edinburgh.

We were looking all over the UK. It just sounded like a cool place to be, and it still does. And under the HSMP visa, jobs in Edinburgh would have been acceptable. We still look. Not all the time, but every now and then. My husband has a great job here, and he likes it very much, but there's always that "what if".

I have some emails being delivered to my email that talks about jobs in the UK. We saw one last night that had a 1-3 month contract. It paid an outrageous sum and covered lodging and flight. They offered that pay because you are acting as a consultant. Now, my husband might be able to take a leave of absence from his job. I've heard that a lot of employers will let you do this. They look at it as training that they don't have to pay for, and it keeps the employees happy and coming back to them more knowledgeable. And at only 1 month, that would be a great opportunity. Ahhh, vacationing in the UK for a month. What a tough life. lol Now I just have to get on and see what they've got for Edinburgh jobs. lol

At my sponsor's site, you can search for lots of things in Edinburgh, such as Edinburgh jobs, houses, business services, or even dating. It's a good place to visit if you're planning on picking up and moving to a city you aren't familiar with.

Actually, that was my own little f-you to them. If they can't approve the post and they can't tell me what's wrong with it, then screw them. I used the keywords they wanted, but I linked to playboy bunnies. Maybe that will f*ck with their google standing just enough that they get the message. ;) If you look at it, ALL the links are like that.

I AM a vicious bitch. :D

I thought that maybe they want 2-3 paragraphs about the site and ONLY the site. No personal stories. But A) they don't say as much in the offer, B) it's always passed before, C) they certainly aren't telling me what they want, and D) what the hell am I supposed to babble about for 2-3 paragraphs?! "Well, they've got engineering jobs in Edinburgh, doctor jobs in Edinburgh, teaching jobs in Edinburgh..." HELL NO!!

that's irritating if they cant tell you what they want yet keep rejecting it. personally i'd rather read a post like yours than the cut and paste variety (which i am guilty of providing..lol!). who really wants to read a boring post about JUST jobs in edinburgh or anywhere else for that matter. i like the personal touch.

as for the playboy link...HA!!!!!! ROFL!!! love it!!!!!! next time try hustler.com. LOLOL!
