Paying off debts with common sense. That’s the platform that Dave Ramsey speaks from on his daily radio talk show. Dave Ramsey is not about debt consolidation or trying some risky formula to get money fast. He is about working and paying off bills slowly but surely. (And no, I’m not calling you Shirley).

Dave Ramsey hates debt consolidation. He hates credit cards with a passion. He hates them so much that he won’t even accept them as payment for any of his materials. This is what impressed me about him. At first, I thought he was just another “financial guru” trying to get my money. But the fact that he speaks of the evils of credit cards AND he won’t accept them impressed me. That got me hooked from day one.

Have you “Discovered” your “MASTERcard” he often quips.

So if you get a chance, give him a listen. He’s motivating and inspiring because he once lost millions in real estate and has come back up into his own again. You’ll find him on many Christian talk stations, but he’s also found on other stations, too.
