With Technology Comes New Terminology

My wife wants to get a plasma TV with our tax return. Our TV now seems so small. It’s either that, or our apartment seems extra big. But we can never read any writing on the TV and it’s very annoying.

There’s an entire terminology that you have to learn when you have a plasma TV, though. For instance, have you ever heard of a plasma lift? I was reading about this handy little gadget and it’s very intriguing. Personally, I don’t like having the television being the focal point of a living room. I think it’s a bit tacky to have the entire furniture scheme centered around the television. With a plasma lift, you can lower the plasma TV into a specially-made cabinet when you’re not watching it so it’s not even noticeable at all times. When you decide it’s time to watch TV, simply use your remote to raise the TV up and viola!, there it is.

I really like that idea. But every time I read about something like this, it makes me wonder what they’re going to come up with next.
