Windermere Real Estate

Windermere Real Estate I thought that this was going to be an opportunity to write about the English moores, as in Wuthering Heights. It turns out that Windemere Real Estate is located near Orlando Florida, the vacation capital of the world. More tourists visit Orlando each year than people live in California! Now California does have a lot of dessert but if you have ever driven in LA rush hour traffic you know that some people, significant numbers of people live in California.

Why does one not hear of traffic problems in Florida? Everyone knows about LA traffic? I have driven there and know firsthand, and it was a surprise only in how very true my perception of LA traffic was. I have also been to Florida and never experienced a single traffic jam. Was I just lucky? Where are all these tourists? Not driving apparently.

Other facts you may not know about Orlando include that Florida was once a place to raise cattle. The wild wild south perhaps. Do you need winter to make for a good Western movie?

They grow pecans in Florida. Everyone thinks of Oranges when they think of Florida. The people growing oranges in Florida have done a good job marketting their industry. Someone is even working on making plastic from orange easte in some Florida university. When I went there there were lots of pecans for sale. I had never thought of pecans and Florida went together. I am sad that I have yet to see a Pecan tree. Next visit.

Did you know there are over 100,000 hotel rooms in Florida? ( Oh that must be where the tourists are. Better there than in their rental cars! ) Seven theme parks, golf courses, theatre, opera, and my favourite, art galleries, all help keep tourists out of their cars and busy having fun.

You may not spot Catherine or Heathcliff but you may encounter celebrities as you explore Windermere Estates. This 800 acre community located just outside Orlando is home to many celbrities and an Arnold Palmer designed golf course. Seven miles of waterfront and connecting canals in this small community make it sound like the Venice of the South. Jump into that boat and visit the neighbour for an evening barbeque and a round of golf. Sounds so very enticing. I can smell the fish sizzling now already.
