Wicca 101 + Paganism 101- What is the difference between a Wiccan and a Pagan?
Generally Wiccans believe that all Gods and Goddesses are aspects of a single force, and that people use these different aspects as a way to make this one central force more accessible.
Pagans more often believe that each deity is a seperate distinct entity in and of itself.
Wiccan rituals are, in general, more formal and contain more influences from ritual magick than Pagan rituals. Wicca tends to be more formal and dogmatic in most ways than Paganism.
However, Wicca is a Pagan religion, so a Wiccan could also call him or herself a Pagan. It is much the same as saying "I am a Catholic" as opposed to "I am a Christian".
