Why woman sing more than the man?

This is the some of questions for which I have no answer. I have seen most of ladies sing songs when they are doing work or alone. Where as man are found very less singing. Is it some kind of trait, a habit? I request people to put their comments on this issue. All are invited to participate including man and woman. Although some may disagree with me, however this is a common observation of me. This will help all us to wider our thought process and understand one more thing. By helping each other we can make our lives better.

I have noticed this too.
I have noticed this too. Perhaps it is viewed as a feminine trait. When you say opera, the men are bigger names, but it is thought of as a feminine pursuit. Many little boys would be beaten senseless on the playground if they said they wanted to grow up to be an opera singer.
Even if it is not opera but any other kind of singing, the man is either expected to be "sensitive" and "artsy" or be in hiphop or rap if he wants to be a singer, whereas women are allowed more range to be in any genre.
