Why The Rest Of The World Thinks You're Barbarians

Man, if this isn't one of the sickest things you've seen in a long while, I'm not sure what else there is.
This is a news story about a 12 year old boy who took part in the beheading of a man. They say it was an American spy; who cares whether it was an American or not. Suddenly there's a 12 year old killer who's being prepped up by adults who have an agenda, yet should know better.
This is why we think most of the terrorists are barbarians. First the boys at the top send other, uneducated men to their deaths, without taking their own lives. Then they started sending women because their custom that forces women to dress totally covered up is a great hiding place for bombs. Now they've gone to bringing children into this mess.
Man, everyone really needs to be glad I'm not the president of the United States today. I'd be bombing everything, over and over, and letting the radioactive fallout take care of the rest. And I'd sleep well. Barbarians.

There are any number of Barbarians Catfish
Sassys
And I do agree with you that allowing a child the "privilege" to bear witness to any murder is atrocious. But in the mind of a barbarian, he is being prepped for the eventual meeting with Allah. They see us as the twisted ones, as a matter of fact we are the barbarians in their eyes.
The all consuming hatred and vengeance is very scary, and that child never has had a childhood, we all think we are immune to violence, well that kid knows nothing else. Therein lies the tragedy.
I do understand what you're saying, Sassys,...
and I can't say that I don't agree, to an extent. I have less problems with the folks in Somalia teaching children how to weird rifles and guns because they're using them to protection, and to help fight a cause. There's no way in the world that I would ever sanction anyone teaching a child how to kill in this manner, which, in my opinion, is just like teaching them how to torture.
With this kind of abomination, once you've had a child participate in it, there is no going back. Now that child must die, along with the rest of them.

Oh, our Catfish. I did not think I'd ever see the day...
when you would sound a little like me ;)
Sure you did, IOAW,..
We obviously agree on most things, and there are some things that are just so far out there that there's no excuse for them. And this particular topic is one of those. Punks!

Heehee! Yes, I was being facetious, our Catfish.
And of course, I agree with your sentiments. These individuals are, indeed, just as you described. Too bad we can't be rid of such animals more permanently.
We could, IOAW,...
but we'd have to take out a lot of innocent people to do it, unfortunately.

That's part of what I am alluding to, our Catfish.
The unhappy reality that the innocent could be obliterated with the guilty.
As well, mentalities are difficult, if not impossible to fight. We can get rid of the human body, yes; but what about beliefs, especially those that are deeply ingrained in culture and/or religion? These are what tend to outlast and repeatedly confront acts of justice.
And, Miss Inquest,...
this is one of the reasons why I don't ascribe to any religion, nor trust many people who say they do. Because the belief in a religion seems to give some people the feeling that they're allowed to do anything in the name of that religion or supposed god, without any consequences whatsoever. This "you must live like I do or else" mentality is one I'm just not going to get behind, ever.

That's a harsh reality Catfish.

And yet to forgive is divine no? I am NOT pro killing of anyone, but that's what most Americans don't get. To judge them for their way of life is futile. They have a different belief system. The soldiers that are in Iraq are a prime example of what I mean. Because they have not been adequately trained in "different cultures" at first they were welcomed with opened arms...give them a few months to "insult" the belief system and they immediately become the enemy within. the phrase "Know thy enemy" comes to mind.
This didn't happen in Iraq, Sassys,...
it happened in Pakistan, and I'm not judging the entire country, if that's how it came about.
I'm talking about terrorists, or more specifically Al Queda. These guys just have to go, and if I were the president right now I'd just want to nuke the entire region and get them out of my hair. Of course I wouldn't do it, but that's not quite the point. You cna throw the Taliban right in there with these weasels; at this point I just want them all dead.

Thanks Lionheart,...
I know nukes would be a major overkill on terrorists; that was kind of a facetious statement. And yes, some parts of the sentiment are deeply ingrained across the Middle East.
However, what people think isn't a major problem for me. We have skinheads and KKK here in America, and I could care less about those folks and what they think. But if they suddenly decided to go on a killing or bombing spree, I'd care a lot and would want them eliminated.
This story got to me because they used the child to kill the guy. They took a child into a room where a guy was tied up and his eyes blindfolded and had him cut a man's head off. That's just unacceptable, period.

It is not religion but the use men make of it. It is true of
any belief system, whether that is a religion or a political belief, that there are those who would hijack it for their own reasons, to propogate their own hatreds. We see that with militant christians also. It wasn't so long ago that protestants and Catholics were burning one another as heretics. There are still those who assert that their particular sect of Christianity is more pure and better than any other and amongst them are those who would like to use violence to assert that belief.
There are thousands and thousands of Moslems who will find this episode as disgusting as we do and for exactly the same reasons.
True, Hats,...
but I took another look at what I wrote, and I noticed I didn't mention religion, and I specifically stated terrorists. So, this is telling because it shows that others read things into what I wrote that I didn't write.
That's intriguing because it means others had something already in their minds that they ascribed to me, and suddenly it's not really my issue anymore, but theirs.
I have no use for terrorists. I have no use for bullies. Both are cowards, but at least bullies do things for themselves, and can be dealt with. Terrorists use others to carry out their nefarious plans, are always on the run, and then try to tell people how powerful they are; bah. Now they're using children; this proves they care nothing about life, only about being correct.
And they couldn't be further from that reality.
