As a little girl, I dreamed when I grew up that I would live in some big exciting city. I dreamed that I would have exotic evenings, and there would always be something fun and interesting to do. I wanted to live a very glamourous life.

But then I grew up.

I live in a small city in Kentucky. There is not a lot of glam around. It's not the city of the rich and famous. When 10 PM rolls around, most places are closed with the exception of Wal-Mart, and a few gas stations.

But I enjoy living here.

There are alot of bonuses to living in Kentucky. Sales tax is 6%. The rate of crime is alot lower than other states. People are friendly and easy going. The air is clean. Gas prices aren't as expensive as other states. Rent is cheaper.

It's not so bad, especially if you are a parent like I am.

Sometimes, our dreams don't always come true. I know someday my kids will be grown and I might end up living somewhere else. But for now I am satisfied.
