Electronic check processing is something I've been thinking about recently as I have received echecks from several buyers. Basically, they work just like other checks. They take a couple of days to clear and then the money goes into your account. If you issue an echeque you will find that this might reduce the fees you pay on payment processing – it's certainly worked for me.
