Why Bush Will Be Impeached Sooner Rather Than Later
Recent surveys show 49% of voters leaning toward supporting Democratic Congressional candidates in the fall elections while a mere 36% said they would support GOP congressional candidates in the same poll. With a mountain of scandal about to hit the Republican party disproportionately harder than the Democrats as a result of Jack Abramoff's plea bargain, and with support for the Republican party eroding in general as a result of perceived incompetence, ineffectiveness, and corruption....that gap will be a 65/35 gap by election time. This enormous gap in voter support will inevitably lead to the GOP losing both chambers of Congress to the Dems.
With both chambers of Congress controlled by the Dems, impeachment of Bush on a wide variety of charges would be inevitable. You can pick and choose from war crimes and lying to the American public about the purpose of the war (the Dems already have a 273-page report on that one), incompetence and corruption regarding Hurricane Katrina, and last but not least, NSA spying on U.S. citizens authorized by Bush that is considered to be potentially illegal and unconstitutional even by many members of his own party.
The Republicans would much rather see Bush impeached by a friendly Republican-controlled Congress than an incredibly hostile (not to mention incredibly empowered) Democratic-controlled Congress. The chances of Bush hanging onto the Presidency following an impeachment proceeding from a Democratic-controlled Congress would be slim to none. Worse yet for Bush, if the Dems failed to impeach him regarding one issue, they would simply attempt to impeach him on one of the many other issues where he is impeachable. An impeachment hearing from a Republican Congress would be much more friendly to Bush, and he would be much more likely to retain the Presidency in the event of impeachment from a GOP-led Congress.

Rigged Voting Machines
Let's not forget how rigged the last elections demonstrated the voting machines to be.
Just another part of the Great Democracy.
