These days, what you have learnt in higher institutions comes second to who you know in the social world.

I dare to say this. It should be true in every society across the globe. One may even be a Ph.D. but, what is the use? He knows nobody! There is a column in the job application form that states: Name the person(s) you know in this company.

Quite a surprise, right? My trainees complaint when they could not get any recommendations to secure a position in a company. Their friends, whose relatives or even distant friends knew somebody in the organisation, got the jobs easily.

What on earth is going on? So many new businesses coming up everyday, but unemployment increases many times more. Why? Because these unemployed don't know anyone!

Here, take my advice.

If you want a job, create one (be your own boss!) If you can't, or just don't know how, then, start go out and get to know someone. Get their namecards, appear in front of them sometimes......... do something.

Afterall, your job may depend on them!
