Who Really Cares What Mesothelioma Is?

myspaceoryours's picture

This "mesothelioma" thing keeps coming up. On Blogger Party the term "meso********" has been blogged about 12 times (13, counting this one.)

Just yesterday, I was trying to add a site meter to one of my blogs yesterday and found one. I set it up on my blog and noticed some funny words underneath it. I KNEW I'd seen those words before, but couldn't figure out where.

The words were Meso******** Attorney.

I wondered what in the world that had to do with my site meter, so I clicked on it. Instead of being directed to the site meter page, I was directed to this website... you guessed it, mesolink.org.

Needless to say, I removed that site meter from my page right away. I hate it when people have to "trick" you to visit their site.

Anyway, considering the fact that I'd NEVER heard of "meso********" before I came to Blogger Party... I wold say the topic has reached it's limit. How much can you really say about it anyway?

I looked up a few other high-paying keywords and here's what I found:

trans union $51.91
lung cancer $43.12
search engine optimization $30.19
home equity loans $20.06
Baines and Ernst $18.47
consolidate loans $17.74
Lexington law $17.68
debt problems $16.28
register domain $15.74
(all info from Sheerboredom.net)

I'd like to see someone make turn those terms into an informative AND fun-to-read blog.

Anyway, the best meso******** blog I've ever read (and this is just my opinion) was written by O Ceallaigh "Blogging for Dollars: Of Mesothelioma, Questing Beasts, and the Seven Dwarves". So if you want to at least be entertained while learning about this "disease"... read his blog.

Hopefully, this will be the last time I have to try to spell meso--- ugh, who cares, you know what I mean.

;-)

Brenna...

Eh, I think I'm just extra-sensitive about this tonight because of that whole site meter incident... last night. But thanks for your comment :)

Huh?

... I just keep seeing "mesothelioma" on a bunch of TV ads and thought it might be something to blog about.

Don't worry, you came in late ...

... there was a rash of blogs here a week or so ago with people wanting to write about topics whose advertisers paid the most money per ad click. "Mesothelioma" headed the list of high-paying keywords. Ergo ...

Yes, it's curious.

I wrote about meso because it was an issue in the wake of Cyclone Larry - so many of the buildings were built with asbestos which is OK until it is damaged - and there was a lot of that. It is not a subject I am into - but I (a) knew it was an cyclone issue and a supposed top paying keyword.

This Meso-business

I don't know... I was just agitated last night, I guess... as far as making $ from it... I don't know how well anyone has done w/this topic... but my point was that I was sick of seeing it come up... and then I go and write a blog about it... so I don't know how much that helped...:(

But I guess blogging for the sole purpose of making $ is not a crime... we all do it sometimes.
