Who Does Israel Belong To? THE ANSWER MAY SURPRISE YOU!

Submitted by ms zola on August 12, 2006 - 7:25am.

Who does Israel belong to? The Jews claim it. The Palestinians claim it. It may surprise you to know how this conflict could be settled.

Whose Land?

Whose right?

Why not let the Koran decide.

That way, there could be no dispute about the most difficult decision ever made. The Koran could put an end to all of the fighting, terrorism and mayhem associated with the Middle East. The Koran...the Holy book of the Muslims. What does it have to say about the ownership of Israel?

The Koran says its Israel's:

see Sura 5:25; 7 :133.

sura 5:25: "enter o my people, the holy land which god hath destined for you."

sura 7:133: "and we gave to the people who have been brought so low, the eastern and western lands, which we had blessed as an heritage: and the good word of thy lord was fulfilled on the children of Israel because they have borne up with patience..."

"AND THE GOOD WORD OF THY LORD WAS FULFILLED ON THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL BECAUSE THEY HAVE BORNE UP WITH PATIENCE" THUS SPEAKS THE KORAN!

I respect the KORAN, but isn't the BIBLE older than that? Your premise would surely draw TORAH-totting JEWS!
and Bible-wielding CHRISTIANS.

The Koran is saying the same thing the Bible has said for centuries....Israel belongs to the Jews. But how can a Muslim argue with his own Holy Book?

Your premise is fine by me, since the Bible says exactly the same thing. God promised Israel to the children of Israel, so there really should be no argument, right? (Except that some people may want to quibble over who the children of Israel are.)

Even the Koran says Israel belongs to the Jews....so what are the Muslims crying about? If their Holy Book says it's so, then it should be so!

Just s few days ago, I made some comments that I felt were non-biased, made in the pursuit of peace in the Holy land.
I said that the jews made no effort to be assimilated into their new homeland. This shouldn't have come as a surprise to anyone.
Ms Zola indicates that the people there welcomed them, and gave permission to live amoung them.

My interpretation of the Koran suggests that this was true, but it was stipulated that the Jews (and later the Christians) must adhere to the teachings of the koran.

As follows, I have spent some time providing this interpretation of the Koran (Sura):

[5:12] GOD had taken a covenant from the Children of Israel, and we raised among them twelve patriarchs. And GOD said, "I am with you, so long as you observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), give the obligatory charity (Zakat), and believe in My messengers and respect them, and continue to lend GOD a loan of righteousness. I will then remit your sins, and admit you into gardens with flowing streams. Anyone who disbelieves after this, has indeed strayed off the right path."

*).
13.

[5:13] It was a consequence of their violating the covenant that we condemned them, and we caused their hearts to become hardened. Consequently, they took the words out of context, and disregarded some of the commandments given to them. You will continue to witness betrayal from them, excepting a few of them. You shall pardon them, and disregard them. GOD loves those who are benevolent.
14.
[5:14] Also from those who said, "We are Christian," we took their covenant. But they disregarded some of the commandments given to them. Consequently, we condemned them to animosity and hatred among themselves, until the Day of Resurrection. GOD will then inform them of everything they had done.
15.
[5:15] O people of the scripture, our messenger has come to you to proclaim for you many things you have concealed in the scripture, and to pardon many other transgressions you have committed. A beacon has come to you from GOD, and a profound scripture.
16.

[5:16] With it, GOD guides those who seek His approval. He guides them to the paths of peace, leads them out of darkness into the light by His leave, and guides them in a straight path.
17.
[5:17] Pagans indeed are those who say that GOD is the Messiah, the son of Mary. Say, "Who could oppose GOD if He willed to annihilate the Messiah, son of Mary, and his mother, and everyone on earth?" To GOD belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them. He creates whatever He wills. GOD is Omnipotent.
18.
[5:18] The Jews and the Christians said, "We are GOD's children and His beloved." Say, "Why then does He punish you for your sins? You are just humans like the other humans He created." He forgives whomever He wills and punishes whomever He wills. To GOD belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them, and to Him is the final destiny.
19.
[5:19] O people of the scripture, our messenger has come to you, to explain things to you, after a period of time without messengers, lest you say, "We did not receive any preacher or warner." A preacher and warner has now come to you. GOD is Omnipotent.
20.
[5:20] Recall that Moses said to his people, "O my people, remember GOD's blessings upon you: He appointed prophets from among you, made you kings, and granted you what He never granted any other people.
21.
[5:21] "O my people, enter the holy land that GOD has decreed for you, and do not rebel, lest you become losers."
22.
[5:22] They said, "O Moses, there are powerful people in it, and we will not enter it, unless they get out of it. If they get out, we are entering."
23.
[5:23] Two men who were reverent and blessed by GOD said, "Just enter the gate. If you just enter it, you will surely prevail. You must trust in GOD, if you are believers."
24.
[5:24] They said, "O Moses, we will never enter it, so long as they are in it. Therefore, go - you and your Lord - and fight. We are sitting right here."
25.
[5:25] He said, "My Lord, I can only control myself and my brother. So, allow us to part company with the wicked people."
26.

[5:26] He said, "Henceforth, it is forbidden them for forty years, during which they will roam the earth aimlessly. Do not grieve over such wicked people."
27.
[5:27] Recite for them the true history of Adam's two sons. They made an offering, and it was accepted from one of them, but not from the
other. He said, "I will surely kill you." He said, "GOD accepts only from the righteous.
28.
[5:28] "If you extend your hand to kill me, I am not extending my hand to kill you. For I reverence GOD, Lord of the universe.

[5:29] "I want you, not me, to bear my sin and your sin, then you end up with the dwellers of Hell. Such is the requital for the transgressors

Good Point BigBadJohnny. But since so much of Islam was taken from Judaism and Christianity, it seems ludicrous to me that they couldn't co-exist using the same moral laws.
