Osama Bin Laden-he walks among us. His face is hidden in the crowd, and he wears a mask of anonymity. Picture this, Toronto, rush hour. You wave down a taxi...after several attempts, one finally stops. You climb in, and give your desination address. Cabbie says, fine weather we're having isn't it? What you DON'T know is that your cabbie's name is OSAMA!!! Think it isn't possible?

For two years, I sat in a desk at work beside Canada's Most Wanted, who had been on the run for years. He was my partner in parts (not crime) and I had no idea I was riding the bus, having lunch and working with a murderer. He had purchased a new identity from the black market, and lived and worked amongst us for two years before being tracked down. How does such a thing happen? Well, we are by nature trusting beings, who don't believe such a thing could happen to us. For these individuals on the run, there needs to be a much greater education for the average person on the street. Now, you may think, why wouldn't she have suspected something, but what makes me think more about the situation, is who would hire him? Perhaps there should be stricter hiring standards. He had his own apartment, bank account, job....blows the mind!

So keep your eyes peeled folks, because I guarantee you...he could be your neighbor, your kids swimming instructor...don't be surprised!
