Where Is Everyone?
So, where is everyone these days? I know I pop over here at least five times a day looking for something new, and often there's nothing.
There's especially nothing from folks who used to write here often. I guess it's a seasonal thing, because I'm thinking that last year, while many of us were on that other blogging site (which shall remain nameless), it started dropping off around the holidays also. Still, this seems a little bit different for some reason.
There are some old names that must have found other places to write, and so they're gone. I'd start naming names, but then I'd leave someone out and, well, there you go. I'll just say that I'm missing a lot of you, and hope everyone is doing well, and will come back strong once the holidays are over.

I read alot and if I have time I will leave a comment. I still fight alot of people here at my house for this computer. There are about six of us that like to use it. The girls are always on Myspace or Facebook. I do those also, but I am here also. Seems like when I am here no one else is. I have been doing some decorating so I have also actually not been on here as much, but to just check things.
I haven't really has anything I wanted to sit, or have had time to sit and post about. Kind of a block I guess.

that's when I go to the news, because there's always something idiotic going on. Matter of fact, I'll be posting a little something that's just plain idiocy in a little bit. :-)
But I know what you mean at the same time; there are periods when I feel I don't have anything new either in other areas.

and actually only recognized a couple of people. You seem to write there a bunch, but I only saw one post out of 12 pages from Sire, and I saw a few articles from Hutts, who writes here also. My thing is that I write here as my personal, rant blog, and I have my business blog, but I'm not someone who's going to have tons and tons of blogs all over the place.
Having said that, I'm thinking about setting up one more blog somewhere, though, more of a advertising, say anything all day blog, than even this one. I don't advertise here, but I do kind of rant here about stupid stuff I see and want to make comments on. And, for this other blog, I may not use a service, and just might create a website and place a blog there, because I don't want to run up against someone else's marketing policies, if you know what I mean. But we'll see.

Last weekend I saw a big drop off of folks and comments across the board and figure it's the holidays! You know, people actually socializing with IRL people! LOL

or their out shopping more, wrapping presents, or just feeling the season, which I guess is okay also.
Course, I then look over at the "who's online" box and see, like right now, it saying there are 2 users online and 1,133 guests online, and I'm doubting that guests number while lamenting the users number.

and if it weren't for the car situation I'd be on to other things too! I always doubt the numbers of guest users since it seems rare that anyone "outside the fold" seems to make comments. Could be just that it's too much a Pa$in to sign up.

I have been working quite a bit and between that and helping my best friend get her house in shape for a massive dinner party, I haven't had the time. I do miss it and will hopefully be back on more often. This is the only place that I blog and I don't have any of those other sites either, MySpace etc. I have many real life friends and some of the bloggers here, why would I need any of the other? Social networking via the internet can be very cool, but I feel it can get a little overwhelming too. I know people that have 300 "friends". Nah, not for me. I prefer to know a few great people that actually think, then 300 "who the hell really knows who you are's" any day:)

and helping out others can be time consuming as well. Just glad you haven't totally left the fold. :-)
