Where Britain tops.

"Where America leads,Britain follows".
This is a familiar say which British do not take it humorously.

But Britian appears to have bucked such assumptions last year in the number of new books published, as per stats released by a book traking firm.

U.S.based Bowker, which monitors book book production figures, has said Britain has replaced the U.S. as the publisher of most new books in English.

Great Britain is long the world's per capita leader in the publication of new books in any language. It has now replaced U.S. as the publisher of new books in English.
