Where are the Aussie bloggers?

Are those lovable Aussie bloggers I used to hang out with on BF and later also on BP still anywhere around? I am talking about the likes of AussieSire/BlogSire and of course lovely Tottie.
In the run-up to my move to Sydney I would have liked to bend their ears about what it's like to live in Oz and what the Australian blogosphere is like compared with other places.
Are they still around? Checked out Tottie's blog and she has not posted since November last year. As for AussieSire? Dunno..
People come and go, such is life. Luckily there are such sparkling gems as huttriver, PW and Sassy among many others.
Onwards and upwards..

Sire comes around now and then, James.
Haven't heard much from him in a few weeks but he stays pretty busy with all his other blogs. I think he's got about 50 of them, now. LOL! Anyway, you can find a link to his other blogs on the postings he does on here. Here's a link to his BP blog.
I heard that Tottie was over at Blog Evolve - I think (?) - but that was quite a while ago. I haven't heard anything from her in ages. Sure do miss her.
Much obliged, PW. I sometimes
check out Sire's other blog(s). He sure is prolific. We were talking about 'Friends' the other day in a different context. Did you see the episode with Gary Oldman who does a scene with the acting genius Joey and enunciates a tad too vigorously leaving poor old Joey sprinkled in his saliva? Funny stuff, it had to be said.

I did, indeed, James.
I thought he was hilarious. The thing about that part, if you've ever noticed in any of his other movies, he frequently "sprays" when he's being particularly emphatic. LOL! And, of course, he used to be a serious drinker. So, that part was really a little too telling. After he did it he said that he probably shouldn't have. But he was nominated for an Emmy for Best Guest Actor in a TV series for it. As usual, he didn't win. I think Brad Pitt got it that year. Sheesh! Goes to show you just how much those awards actually mean.
Indeed! Brad the Pitts
or the Oldman-meister? No contest, surely. One of my favourite roles was in 'Leon'. Am I right in thinking he was in 'True Romance' as well in a similar psychotic baddie-type part? You're the person to ask..
You are correct, Sir!!!
LOL!!
I can't remember his character's name (Scouse, or something like that?) but he played a white pimp with dreadlocks and a big scar across his face and he had this 'bad-ass black pimp' accent going on. He was pure evil!!! His character gets killed in the first 30 minutes - shot in the crotch of all things! The movie is worth watching just for the few minutes of him but it's a pretty darned good flick overall. Brad the Pitts (love that!) plays a stoner in it and he's pretty funny - Patricia Arquett, can't remember the other guy, oh yeah, Christian Slater - but it was pretty darned good. A real gangster/shoot-em-up type movie.
Yeah, it's not about the acting with those awards - it's all about a pretty face or lots of publicity. Since Oldman isn't the conventional pretty face and he shuns publicity, he's pretty much out for the count when it comes to awards. Still, no biggie, I guess. It's not like they come with a big check or anything. :-D
Aren't there parts in that film
for Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper, two superb weirdo actors? And yes, I used to think Patricia Arquette was quite tasty; especially in 'Lost Highway'.
Yes, now that you mention it.
Dennis Hopper plays Christian Slater's dad and Christopher Walken plays a mob boss. Gosh, I need to watch that movie again. Now that I'm remembering it, it was really good.
I've always like Patricia Arquette (though probably not in the same way you do - LOL!). I actually think she's a better actress than her sister.
Did you ever see Rosanna Arquette in a film entitled
'Black Rainbow'? She plays a medium who tours the country with her bitter, hard-drinking dad played by Jason Robards. They do those dodgy shows getting in touch with audience members' deceased relatives. At one point, Rosanna Arquette starts 'seeing' deaths just as they are happening. Quite creepy but interesting as well. Both sisters seem to like that spooky stuff.
Signing off for now...
I'll have to look that movie up, James.
I've never even heard about it but I like the creepy stuff, too. And with Jason Robards? Man, that must have been a good one.
It was quite good and it raised
quite a few fascinating questions. Jason Robards was very convincing. I think it was a film that came out in the early eighties. Wasn't too keen on her sporting the hardware items in her face in Pulp Fiction but that's personal. Great fun to talk about films with another movie buff, by the way..
I was wondering how old it was if it had Jason Robards
in it. I'm going to try and hunt it down on Amazon.
You know, Rosanna has played some of the scummiest parts, like the one in Pulp Fiction. And she's really good at them. It makes me wonder just what she's like in real life. LOL!
BTW, LOVE Pulp fiction.
You're right, it's so much fun to talk to someone who can clue me in to good films that I haven't seen.
Yes, Pulp Fiction was
quite something although perhaps I prefer 'Jackie Brown'. The soundtrack underneath the opening titles alone is fabulous.
Believe it or not, I have never seen "Jackie Brown."
I know, I know. Tsk, tsk, tsk. And it's been on TV several times lately. I just never seem to find the time to sit down and watch it. Next time it's on I'm going to tape it.
Speaking of soundtracks, "The Professional" was on TV the other night and, naturally, I watched it - again. And I was thinking that the soundtrack on that film was so excellent. The music was such a major component of the action but it was also kind of subtle - didn't take over the scenes just perfected them. Funny. I really got into the music on it the other night.
Hm..don't know that one. But you have
to take the time to sit and watch 'Jackie Brown'. It's quite long and does appear to drag a bit but I think it's just wonderfully mesmerizing. And it's got Robert the Niro as you've never seen him. Very un-cool.
You must tell me about 'The Professional' as I'm clueless.
Ah, sorry. "The Professional" is
the name "Leon" was released under in the US.
Now I'm simply kicking myself for not already watching "Jackie Brown." You can bet I'll tape it the very next time it's on. Thanks for cluing me in. LOL.
Ah, no I understand.
No worries, PW.
Hey I noticed that Tottie is MIA!! So is

Inquest of a Lady...I bet they will show up sooner than later...at least I hope they do, I miss our little neurotic group:D But Sue Jeff is back...and she too is great!
Good to hear Sue Jeff is back as well.
I remember some of the debates and comments with Tottie's input. Perhaps she'll turn up again at some point.
Tottie is known as Elly...
on Blogevolve. She has just returned from a term of English teaching in China. She and Sire were great back on Blogfeast. Mind you everybody was great back then.If you are loking for an Aussie based site, go to Orble.com. They invited me to take over a domain name there:www.writerslounge.net

We're having a typical post-Al Gore English summer:
rain, rain and then some more rain and not a sign of sunshine anywhere. Actually, not too bad today but it's been another wash-out of a summer. Stil..mustn't grumble,eh?
