WHEN STALKING'S NOT ENOUGH

Well, my efforts to convince Edgar Wright to direct my movie seem to have fallen on deaf ears. Forgive my Glenn Close moment, but, I WILL NOT BE IGNORED!
*Ahem*......It's not that I'm not well with him. I am a grown up, after all. I'm merely perplexed. Does he not know who I am?! Does he not know how things in my universe work?! In my universe; I want something - I GET IT! End of story!
So, what's with the silence?? Is he actually telling me NO??!! NO??!! Excuse me, Mr. Wright, but I'm never told NO.
While, I haven't yet been able to send him Marilyn, that shouldn't be the "deal maker". What should be at work here is the norm that I'm accustomed to ~ my wit, my charm and my obvious talent for stringing words together being the "in". What should have happened already is a reply of some sorts telling me either "It's great and I'll do it!" OR "It's not great, so shag off!"
I'll admit, I'm not a patient person. When I decide I want something, I want it YESTERDAY. So, maybe I just need to give him more time. And, I do promise to NOT arrive at his doorstep naked and covered in lime jello (I've given birth, so that's something NO ONE needs to see!) So, this will never get creepy. But, the temptation to email him everyday is there! I won't lie. Whenever I see he's online I need to pretty much busy myself with something else in order to leave him alone. Sean keeps telling me ~ "Don't shoot yourself in the foot, Spooky". And, he's right.
*sigh* I suppose it's something I could turn into a screenplay. I actually kinda like that idea ~ "Stalking Edgar" the movie! Imagine if THAT'S what actually sells!

I also added a pic of him, just so folks see who I'm talking about! I have a good feeling about the 'Stalking Edgar' script idea! I have a suspicion THAT will get all kinds of attention! I even have t-shirt design ideas for the premier! LOL
Picture it, a whole crowd of people wearing t-shirts that read - "I'M stalking Edgar"!

I'm so jazzed about the idea of making this film! Not, only can it be made for a song (since it's character driven!) it'd be sure to get into the festivals! I'm not exactly sure yet, but I may write it as kind of movie with-in a movie. If I do go that route, there are TONS of video clips of Edgar I found just last night that we could insert into the film! Gotta love public domain, huh??!! LOL

Cannes last night. I got so excited by the idea I just naturally thought of that but figured I was going out in left field (sort of "as usual"). Then you mentioned it and I went through the roof!
I can hardly wait to see what you write. I know it's going to be a HUGE success. I think the Universe is slapping us on the forehead, saying "Duh!" LOL!!!
Just being a screenwriter
makes you tend to think of festivals, BUT, my thoughts have always been in the fantasy. I figured if any film I wrote made it to Cannes, it'd be on one of the small screens not judged. THIS one, on the other hand, I'm thoroughly convinced will make the main theaters and be a hit! Even if it wins nothing, it'll gain a following like you said. We'd have to thoroughly fuck it up for it not to!
After I wrote a bit of it last night I stopped to imagine the whole lot of us at Cannes - doing the town in hillbilly fashion! You may, be right about that universe slap! Even if it's not - here's something we can all work on together and get ALL our names out there!
