When Silence Is The Golden Rule!

So I know that on the computer screen I come across as being a loudmouth...ya think?. The actual facts are quite the opposite.
I am not like the A-Typical woman who can't be quiet for more then a couple of minutes at a time...nope! I feel very secure in my silence and I don't mean in a judgmental way. I mean like first thing in the morning, drinking a cup of steaming hot coffee,reading a newspaper...and just enjoying the solitude.

There is also a kind of silence that should be mandatory for ALL. Like when a couple breaks up and the gossip millers get revved up for their "fun"...Knowing when to shut up is critical in some situations. Let me give you a clear example..
My mothers best friend once came to our house and I was about 7 or 8 years old...now this woman takes my mom to the back porch and us kids needless to say were listening at the screened in door to hear this TWAAT tell my mother "I am sorry
M...... but R.... (My dad) and I are in love and we just can't hold it in any more".
Now this was a woman that was herself married and had six kids of her own as did my mom. What possessed this woman to do that? My parents stayed married until the bitter end despite this little confession and all it did was bring about an untold amount of pain and heartbreak...why? So she could rub it in and show her prowess as a woman to her supposed "best friend"?

This is the kind of crap woman do to each other all the time and it's disgusting to me that one would be that insecure and that needy...all for the love of self and drama...this is why SILENCE is indeed golden. More often than not it is wiser to shut the fuck up and get on with your life, trust me when I tell you that is a very sure way to get the respect you crave and the dignity you deserve.
