When Put On The Spot What Would You Say?

We have all as adults been put on the spot at one time or another...Kids like to "test" us, and at times enjoy watching us blush, or squirm.

This is what happened to me one day when I was walking to the gas station up the road from where I lived at the time.
I had with me my daughter who was tiny in her stroller and my nephew, who was about 8 years old with us.

We are standing in line at the gas station (in the bible belt)when my nephew looks straight at me (oh yeah it was SUNDAY)and says "Auntie Sassys why dont we ever go to church?"

I was stunned....sooooo, all the customers are waiting for my reply...without skipping a beat I said "Because we are from New York"

There was a moment of silence then everyone broke up laughing. I could have committed murder that fine Sunday morning.

My nephew is now in his early thirtys and we look back fondly at that day and always get a good giggle out of it...But he and his wifeypoo will soon be having a child of their very own...I await and bide my time, for a little thing we all call Karma:)

Hahaha

I'm not sure it's called "karma" when you do it... I think that's called "revenge." But what do I know, I'm no Scientologist.

Well then again I aint no saint either...My plan is devious...I shall ask my great nephew in a crowd "what's that smell buddy?"

Cute!

I'm just waiting for my very talkative son to start embarassing me with his questions/comments in public. He has a very loud voice...

You can trust me on that...My son when he was little was also very loud. We were at a supermarket one day and I let go of his hand for a split second, I ran after him and grabbed his hand quickly...he screams out "Mommy you're hurting me"...I was doing no such thing...But I felt like the Tazmanian Devil on speed...I wanted to @#$%$#@*&)*)*& but needless to say did not. UGH.

well...

When I picked him up the other day and pulled him against me to carry him in the house, he said, "Ow Mama, you hurt my penis!" Fortunately we were at home and no one heard that.
