A Toddler's View of Life
In the shower today, my son slipped. He didn't fall, but it took some wiggling and jiggling to avoid a crash. Instead of being upset, he said, "Oh! I dancing!"
If only I could look at life that way.
When an article gets rejected, or my dog and I fail (again) in competition, or heaven forbid *I* slip and nearly fall, instead of a swear word or bummed outlook, I could adopt a toddler point of view and say, "Hey! I'm dancing!"
I know the saying, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade" is an old one, but maybe it's the best way to get through life. How much happier could we be if we lived in the moment, forgot about the concept of embarrassment, and just adopted a toddler's point of view in our every day experiences?
I think tomorrow I'll give it a try. Maybe.
