What's really going on in our Country

america | bills | Finances | freedom | inflation | usa

You know, I see things going on in our Country that really concern me. It makes me wonder how far we have really come.

Almost daily on the news, you see arrests made of sexual perverts. Disgusting, depraved people that prey on innocent children and the elderly. Not to mention the ones in between. We see gas prices that keep going up. Groceries are more expensive. Milk is expensive. Housing and electric. We are being taxed on everything, even shopping at Goodwill. It's hard for people to make it.

Then on top of this, we are supposed to save money for when we are elderly?

There are some people/families that have no problems financially. But as a single parent, it's a financial struggle. At this rate, I will be working until the day that I literally die. Without any type of savings.

What really concerns me is that everything will keep going up. I've not had health insurance for a year. Simply because I can't afford it. I don't qualify for assistance from the goverment. But with the cost of living, I can't afford health insurance. Is it just me or is there some kind of problem with how everything is working?

There are many single parents out there that are struggling to make it. And there will only be more as the future unfolds. In this day and age, there is no guarantee that any marriage will last. It's scary but it's true. Where are we going to be ten years down the road?

It is scary, Angelface,...

and yet, if we all worry about the things we can control more than the things we can't control, then we have at least a very good chance of having better lives.

Just asking, but do you have a regular job where you bring home a weekly paycheck? And, part two, do you have certain skills that you could use to earn a second income working for yourself in some way?

If so, I recommend a book called The Millionaire Maker. The writer of this book talks about these two things, and more, and the book can offer a plan for moving forward in your life monetarily. Sure, money doesn't take care of everything, but it's a step in the direction of being able to take care of most things.

At least you're thinking about the things going on in the world; if you can figure out a way to get by, you'll be ahead of 95% of them. Good luck.
