What's in a short rest?

begining | new | rest

Most of the time, when we are tired, we know it's the rest to rest. However, many don't understand what a rest is. They still want to look for something to do, and then grumble when there's nothing much to do.

To have a rest doesn't really mean to put down all you have. You can still plan and strategise whatever you want ..... that's what you'll do when you are all fired up again.

Actually, taking a rest means to do more of what you should be doing instead of just doing what you are supposed to.
A very clear and a well prepared mind will enable you to do that. The Chinese have a saying that goes .... a rest mean a longer and more successful journey.

So, the next time you're on leave .... take a real rest. Prepare yourself for the battles, be them big or small, ahead.

Absolutely So, Fren...

Our body has a rhythm to it, and it includes proportionate periods of 'downtime' that cycle through our 'uptime'. It's called the Basic-Rest-Activity-Cycle (BRAC), and it goes about 90 minutes of productive focus to about 30 minutes of rest, fejuvenation, and refresh.

It makes the day much better and more prodictive if one has the luxury to honor this extremely natural reality.
