What's In A Name?

What's in a name? Do you think that the name a person was given should not be changed? Do you think that the name a person has effects people's perception of them? Do you believe that a name holds the power of success or failure?

Many people don't think that a name holds much importance. Marketers, advertisers, public relations agents and others in the entertainment industry think differently. The most perfect example of this is Norma Jean. A common and ordinary name. It doesn't really conjure up any images of grandeur. Thus, the infamous Marilyn Monroe was conceived. The name was conceived by men that knew that there is power in a name. Moving forward in time, there is the infamous Puff Daddy aka P. Diddy aka Sean Combs. Each name grew out of his constantly changing personna. It highlighted his accomplishments in the arts and entertainment. Let us not forgot the Diva herself, Mrs. Jennifer Lopez, aka Bennifer aka JLO. Sometimes the name change is for a good reason and sometimes it's not.

So, my questions to all of you are:
Why did you choose your username? Does it demonstrate a trait that you are proud of? Is it an aspiration you are working on? Does it say something about who you are when no one is looking?
One more thing, when you read my username what image does it bring to your mind? Would you like to know if you are right or wrong in your perception of theclassy1?
