Well, I wonder how powerful word of mouth is and whether as bloggers its possible to create new words. What is the tipping point for creating new words and language. The 'Tipping Point' by Malcom Gladwell provides a comprehensive example of creating cultural change.

Wouldn't it be an awesome experiment of our cyberculture to change language and culture by creating or developing new words bringing new words into the English language and seeing them become commonly used.

As language changes due to technology and cultural changes, surely with the advent of blogging and new ways to communicate especially electronically. New words can be a by product of these cultural changes? For example, lol, l8r are commonly used for speedy communication on MSN, text messaging etc.
