What were you doing 6 years ago today?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDh_pvv1tUMI can still remember what I was doing at the exact moment I heard the tragic news 6 years ago today, I was running my machine when a co worker come and said "what is this world coming to when someone flys a plane into the world trade center?" My vision at the time was a small plane and maybe an accident then the second plane hit the trade center, then we realized we were under attack, I don't think I got a whole lot of work done that day. It was a beautiful day here in South Carolina but we all were mourning for our fellow Americans who were killed that day for no apparent reason. I still get chills and tears when I see what happened that day. I have compassion for all who lost their life that day. I come home that day and cried and embraced my wife and kids.

I remember exactly what I was doing: I was anxiously awaiting the birth of my fourth daughter who was due to be born anytime. I was watching the "Today" show and while I was getting my oldest off to school and entertaining my other two, I watched the mess unfold. At that moment I thought: "What in the world am I having another child for? What will her world be like." I will never forget that day.
I was at work and new nothing of it until
a customer came into the store and told us about it. I got home around noon and immediately went to the tv. I just couldn't believe what I was watching. It was absolutely horrible.
Then I had to go back to work at three o'clock for a couple of hours. I work at a convienance store with gasoline and we had two lines of traffic with people wanting gas, and it lasted about an hour and a half. The gas station across the street had the same thing going on as well as the other two in town. I guess people though there was going to be a gas shortage, so everyone was freaking out.
It's strange, because,...
I woke up earlier than normal, as I was just home working on my book. I have never slept well, but I had gone to bed really late, and my waking up was, well, weird. I only seem to wake up early when some kind of tragedy is about to occur, though I never know where. So, I was working on my book when my mother called to say a plane had hit the tower. I turned on TV, NBC, and was watching when the second plane hit. I said to her "they're showing it again", and she said no, that was another one. I knew right then and there, and I continued watching for almost 60 straight hours.
