When I'm driving there are fewer things that piss me off more then tailgaiting. If yo're unfamiliar with the concept, this is when the driver behind you rides your bumper like you're a dog in heat. Sometimes they drive close enough so you can see the bridge work on their teeth. Other times they drive so close that you can't see their headlights anymore. What has gotten into people that makes them think that they can drive so hazardously. And for the record: I am not a slow driver! I'm not a Speed Racer for that matter but I typically stay five miles above the legal limit and never slow down to rubber neck any land marks along the drive, like cows in the fields or a smoldering wreck caused by some other idiot. So what's the big idea?
If any of these yahoos used their head for one second they'd see how dangerous this is. This goes out to all that have gotten under my skin: the little dorks in their low-riding Honda Civics, the mothers screaming at their kids in their minivans, the fat slobs squeezed into their over-sized diesel trucks, all of you are guilty of the offense. You don't have to worry about me and my family, to the damage you might cause if we were to suddenly hit the brakes and you drive your car through our tailpipe. Don't worry about the physical harm and possible death it could cause my children in the back seat. Stop and think about your vehicle. If I suddenly stopped, your car is toast! If I suddenly slammed on the brakes serious damage would occur to your car. Did that concept ever run through your pea brain? Come on, if you were standing in line at the grocery store and some guy stood so close behind you that you felt he owed you dinner before it got anymore intimate, wouldn't it piss you off? Think about, back off, and give the guy in front of you room to breath. It'd ease off some of that road rage to be certain.
