What is "LINK SHARE"?

Submitted by realitycheck on April 14, 2006 - 3:30pm.

Link Shares is part of Associated Programs - an Adsense competitor.
Link Shares is a company that pays you for referals as well as click throughs (clicks). If you are interested in signing up, please use my referal button located to the right of the screen or below this blog.

Users are paid $1.50 for referral and the click pay is by company. Some companies pay 2 cents per click while others pay substantially more. Another option is to get commissions of of sales made through your links. Some companies who use this program offer $20 + for every sale. You will also be able to CHOOSE your ads! This is very beneficial. For example, if you decide to write a blog on GAMBLING you can post ads for gambling companies. This will get you many more clicks than random ads will.

And another perk is that you can list your bloggerparty address for free (promotion!). If you have time try to check it out. There's no cost to sign up and they pay by check or pay pal. You can cash out your earnings PENALTY FREE at ANYTIME!!!!

When you sign up you'll have to fill out a quick W2 Form, just like w/ Adsense. You will then be emailed your own referal code and you'll be granted access to a list of 1,000's of companies you can "work" for. This list also tells you what each company pays and their policies. I signed up for several companies that offer referal, click through and % of sales. That's a damn good deal. You have no obligatio to the companies and can remove their ads any time you like.

Once you recieve your referal code:
Simply paste your own referal code into your "About Me" section. Or paste it directly into your blog.

Is google going to get upset if we have both linkshare and google ads on a page? I can't remember if that's in their TOS.

Thanks for the info!

Sorry Moorish & Brenna, I was pretty busy yesterday. I have been spending almost every free minute trying to figure out how to promote our blogs and get REAL clicks from them. Some of the ideas have worked, some are a flop. I am going to post one big blog with all of my findings. I'll try and post it next week. I'll include all of the links to the good stuff.

I don't think Google would really care what we do. They still have all of their ads on our pages and like I've said at least 20 previous time - Any traffic is good traffic. If it becomaes an issue you could easily remove any ads. But those of us who are promoting our blogs (Technorati, topblogs, etc) have not had any problems with the other ads at all.

Moosish Prince - I have not made a killing, but every month my account balance doubles. So I am staying hopeful. January I made NOTHING. Feb I made almost a dolar, by march I was up to 3 dollars and now I am almost at $7. So I am thinking the effort may pay off. I now seven bucks is NOTHING in the real world, but I am hoping that with all the additional traffic I will be able to double my income every month. With that being said, I may be able to reach my first cash out by Christmas. Who knows. I'm just going to stick to posting my debates and see if it catches on. I am finally getting readership.
What about you? Any luck? You seem to know a lot about the technical side of blogging. I did read your blogs and used it to set up chanels. (Thanks!)

Oh, and I also think creating the Myspace account REALLY is helping me financially. I am getting a lot of myspace hits in a short time. All of my blogs there direct people to bloggerparty.
