What is Immortality
As long as the spiritual power remain in the body, there is life in the body. When this spiritual power leaves the body , it becomes lifeless, a state called death. Hindu scriptures tell us that the spiritual power ,makes another body to live in. If this Spiritual power does not leave this body, the body will have everlasting life And hence become IMMORTAL.
Next question is ,can we become IMMORTAL. So far no one living has escaped death. Spiritual wisdom makes man spiritual ; Spiritual man lives forever, he does not die. He has faith in god alone.
According to Guru Granth sahib , those who remember God, live in bliss. Those who remember god ,live forever. Bhagavad Gita confirms this The Karamyogi,who depends on me, attains by my grace the eternal, imperishable state even though performing all action.
