From PDA's and other mobile devices and now to the ubiquitous Internet itself, Epocrates, Inc. has found a way to disperse its drug and formulary guide information on Effexor and 3,300 other drugs to healthcare professionals.

They can access a range of information either by PDA or online on the various drugs including: dosing, pricing, potential drug interactions, and Medicare Part D formulary coverage.

Over 500,000 healthcare professionals (including one in four U.S. physicians and one in two U.S. medical students) already use Epocrates PDA based system. The new free online service will expand that even more which is good news for a company already ranked in the Inc. 500 24th annual survey as the 257th fastest growing private company in the country.

Epocrates also offers a premium service with the following amenities: more than 400 alternative medicine monographs, patient education handouts, pill pictures, pill identifier and hundreds of medical tables and calculations.
