What is "Cubism"?

Cubism was a 20th century avant-grade art movement that revolutionised European painting and sculpture. Cubism is a painting of a normal scene painted so that it is viewed from multiple views.The positions of some of the parts are rotated os that it is odd looking and scrambled. The background and object planes penetrate one another to create the ambiguous shallow space characteristic of cubism.
