What Does Your Weight Have to do With Your Class?

I do a lot of reading and research on weight loss. Today I read an article that said that lower class people have more issues with obeing overweight. I think that I tend to agree with that statement to a certain extent. I think about the city that I reside in. The older parts of town; where there is less money, seems to have more obese people than the wealthier parts of town.

I wonder why this appears to be the case. Is it because they are not as well educated and don’t know how to eat sensibly or is that the wealthier people spend more money on gym memberships and less on fast food. The answer to the question is going to differ depending on who you ask.

The number 1 reason that couples argue or divorce is over money. It's a depressing subject, certainly when there's not enough. Most people tend to over eat when they're depressed. So it's odd isn't it? 50 years ago if you were poor then you were probobly skinny, right? Today it's much cheaper to feed your family off the $1 menu all week at any fast food restaurant rather than dropping $100+ on groceries at the store, healthy meals that would require cooking and time and really who has time for that when you're working double shifts just to pay for daycare?
