What Do You Know About Technorati?

I'll admit, I don't know much. I'm trying to learn more about all that is blogging, and this seems to be something many people are doing.

Here is my Technorati Profile

Is there anyone here who knows much about this and can help educate us all on what Technorati is and does?

Obviously, if it is mentioned in regard to tags being picked up by it, it must be important in the land of blogging.

Any and all help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Technorati is basically a blog search engine. It's quite popular and a place where people go to find blogs about topics they are interested in. The way Technorati categorizes the blogs it lists is by tags. If you go to their site, you can click on the "Tags" link, and you'll see their "tag cloud". The larger a word is, the more blogs that are currently tagged under that subject.

You can also use their search to find blogs. Many of Blogger Party's blogs are already listed there.

You can't get your blog here at Blogger Party listed with Technorati's tags yet, though, but this should be coming soon to a Blogger Party near you.
