Welcome To The World Of Weight Loss..... HEY, Stop Staring At The Food!

Have you ever tried to lose weight using one of those three-day crash diets? Well you get to the end of the three days and youre like, "Yes! Ive lost ten pounds!!! I Fit those jeans!" And then you grab a bag of chips. Or you get on a real diet and youre doing great, then your period hits. You suddenly find yourself eating a box of mint chocolate chip ice cream. I think that losing weight is hard enough without all the emotion (which is why a lot of us eat so much) and all the stress (you maintain weight with stress). Plus all the pressure from a spouse (significant other), or from friends. Plus, who wants to have half a piece of dry chicken and a salad with no dressing? No one. Well I've been trying to lose weight since I was 15. Here's a few tips that I learned along the way:

- Dont start a diet unless you are COMPLETELY devoted. (You'll just gain it all back)
- Find a friend (or spouse) to workout with. You'll be more motivated.
- If you mess up, Forgive yourself. Fix it, and just work harder.
- Dont use too much weight when you workout. You dont want to build muscle until you lose some of the fat. Muscle puts ON weight.
- WALK! It really does help.
- If you get depressed as you go, its okay to cry. Pick your head up afterwards, and keep going toward the goal.
- Weigh yourself every morning (if you can). At the same time (if you can). You weigh less in the morning.
- Eat foods with Fiber. They help.
- Drink WATER. If you cant drink it plain (I Can't) use Crystal Light packets!
- If you eat a lot of Beef, try replacing some meals with Fish.
- Instead of following some strict diet and exercise plan, Make Your Own. It has to fit you! Find something that bends to what you like, AND what you need.
- Dont set your first goal higher than you can reach. I weighed 220lbs. My first goal was just to get under 205.
- Find a feel-good song that you like and play it every time you feel good about anything. (Mine is "What a Feeling")
- Most importantly, LAUGH! ! ! ! Laughter does more than you know.

Feel good about what and who you are. When you feel sexy, people see you as sexy!
