Weezy's Thoughts

It's time for me to empty my brain of a few random thoughts. This is mostly about sports but there are a couple other topics sprinkled in. As always I'll look forward to receiving comments, but please remember these are just my thoughts.

1. The country's biggest national crisis has come to an end: Brett Favre will be returning to the Green Bay Packers for the 2006 season. Ok, maybe it wasn't a national crisis, but I wasn't ready to see my favorite player walk away from my favorite game.

2. Bravo might now be my new second favorite tv channel. My favorite channel goes to the ESPN family of networks, but Bravo is tickling my fancy. With shows like Top Chef, The Real Housewives of Orange County, reruns of Celebrity Poker, Blow Out (yeah, I watch Blow Out), and the underrated Inside the Actors Studio, it is a great channel with great reality tv.

3. There are five days on the sports calendar that I look forward to every year: Super Bowl Sunday, MLB All-Star Game, NBA All-Star Game, NCAA Men's Basketball Championship and the first day of the NFL Draft. For those of you who don't know the NFL Draft starts on Saturday at noon. I've made it known to everyone that I will not be accepting any non-football related calls. There will be pizza, wings, and beer. I'll be in heaven.

4. Recently my girl had a vacation from work (she's a teacher & school was out). I did not have a vacation. I never want this to happen again. We had to do something everyday. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy spending time with her. However I also enjoy just coming home after work and watching a little ESPN and Bravo. For god's sake, i had to go on a picnic last week.

5. Finally I need to take a minute to remember the career of Keith Jackson. Keith Jackson has been a college football announcer for a very long time, longer than I been alive. I'll even admit that I probably haven't heard Jackson's greatest game calls. I do know that over the past few years whenever I was treated to a game that was being called by Keith Jackson my excitement for that game always increased.

1. You know how I feel about Brett Favre. No need to get into it.

2. I don't know if Bravo is quite my second favorite channel although I do watch all of those shows besides Blow Out. I still cant believe you watch Blow Out. The thing about it is as much as I do watch Bravo I have never even considered watching Blow Out. I have watched a grand total of 8 seconds of Blow Out while breezing through the channels. What you think about your boy getting eliminated last night from Top Chef? Who do you think is going to win?

3. Ditto

4. You had to go on a picnic. It don't get much funnier than that. You gotta weasel your way out of that one. Somehow.

5. Ditto

I'm glad that guy got kicked off the show. The judges were right, he seemed to know more about wine than food. To think though he is only 24.

I think Harold (i think that's his name, the salmon guy on this episode) or Leann is going to win. I want Harold to win more, but I think Leann is going to edge it out.

I'm telling you watch Blow Out. It sucks you in somehow. I obviously know it is a show that I shouldn't be watching. But somehow I find it very intriguing. First you think he is gay, then you find out he has a kid and a fiance (not that that has anything to do with his sexuality). Plus he thinks he's god's gift to hair. I'm telling you his arrogance just draws you in.

As for the picnic, obviously I wanted nothing to do with it and I tried my best not to be a part of it. There was just nothing I could do about it. I'm ashamed of myself.

haha. you're ashamed of yourself for going to the picnic. this is why we are friends.

Ill take your word for it on Blow Out. I know that if I watch it once I'll have to keep going. I just can't bring myself to do it.

I thought it was funny that you said a show called Blow out "sucks you in."

And yea that picnic thing has me rolling just thinking about it. I understand that sometimes u gotta do what you gotta do.

Did you guys have an actual picnic basket?

Only you would catch that pun, if that's what you want to call it. Obviously it wasn't consciencely intended, who knows what's going on in my head sub-consciencely. And no there wasn't an actual picnic basket.

Pops thinks Harold or Tiffany is going to win. I tend to agree and I am also pulling for Harold. He has honor. One thing we all know for sure is that Dave is not going to win. He cries way too much.

Every now and then I need to just purge. Today is one of those times. So what I've done is just laid out some thoughts, five to be exact. Each one is just a quick blurb, nothing in depth. So enjoy.
