Weekend Report: Finally some relaxation

This will be another short edition of the weekend report. The weather literally put a damper of things this weekend. We got a lot of rain here in the Northeast. Normally I would be a little upset about this, but I needed to relax. So'll give the quick run down and I'll even give the rules of an easy drinking game (since they've been doing so well here).

Friday: I guess this would have to be considered the big night of the weekend. Before you get excited, I didn't even leave my apartment. Instead I had Jose and Mary Anne (my lady friend) come over and join me. They each brought over a 18-pack of Coors Light (this is the good thing about having the apartment, I very rarely have to pay for the alcohol that enters the apartment). So combine the 18-packs and the leftover beers from previous gatherings we had about 50 beers. So we decided to do a power hour. During the power hour we decided to get in a game of Kings/Circle of Death (whatever you wanna call it), you know just so we had something to do while the minutes were going by.

During Kings is when I remembered a drinking game that was always a good time in college. We call it the Number Game. Before I explain this game I'm going to suggest that it be played after a moderate amount of drinking has been done, it's more fun this way. So here it goes:

The first person starts by saying "1". The next person says "2". Keep doing this until you reach 10. Once you reach 10, everyone cheers and takes a drink.

Sounds simple enough right? Here's where it gets tricky. The person who was number ten gets to make a rule. What I mean by this is they could say "instead of saying 6, say 7". So now the sequence of numbers would look like this 1,2,3,4,5,7,7,8,9,10. You keep doing this until there is a rule for every number.

Inevitably, people will be having side conversations and not paying attention. This is what makes the game difficult and before you know it you've drank like five beers without realizing it. Another tip for the game, don't just change the numbers to other numbers. For instance, instead of changing 6 to 7, your rule could be "instead of saying 6, touch your nose". Get creative with it. It's a good time.

Saturday/Sunday: Both of these days consisted of me doing the exact same thing so I'm going to combine them. Both days consisted of me waking up, assuming my favorite position (laying down) on the futon, and switching between whatever playoff basketball game was on and the mets game.
