Wedding Planning Pt 4 - Alternative Weddings

One of the newest trends is the alternative wedding. Now, it may seem easy to plan a wedding in one of the smaller Vegas hotels where the whole family can combine a holiday, fun, and the wedding. Also, the bride and groom have the fun of telling people they were married in Vegas- even though they had first class all the way and skipped the small chapels.

The problem is - as always - the bride's parents. They often believe the wedding is for them. After all, they are paying for the wedding. A good wedding planner learns how to trick the parents into giving the bride and groom what they want.

There are a few ways of doing this. One is to take the mother's wishes to the extreme, and then make sure the father sees the bills. A wedding planner can expect at least 2 - 4 months wasted battling the mother, but it will be worth it.
