We Have A New Edition To Our Family

dog | family | Jack Russell | pet

Well, here we go again. I thought I said no more, but apparently that wasn't being taken seriously.
As much as I tried to not have this happen again, it did.
Yes, we have a new puppy. He is a six week old Jack Russel Terrier. The best part is that he was free.
We know the people that had the puppies, and they are full bred.
He is adorable, and my husband has always wanted one of these dogs as long as I can remember.
Problem is, we have two other dogs, and three cats, and who do you think takes care of these animals the most? Me , yes, like I dont have anything else better to do than walk, feed, and pick up after all these animals when I work a full time job.
Cute as he is, we needed another dog like we need a hole in the head.
Also, these dogs have a major energy level and I don't think my hubby realizes this yet, but he is going to.
I say their cute, but they grow up into dogs, kind of like kids, lol.
At any rate, I think our family is complete now, and I seriously am done, getting any more pets that is.

Those dogs never grow up, ... LOL :)

You have yourselves a terrorist LOL they is cute, but they is what they is as you wrote they can be a little high strung and a lot of fun, chasing all sorts of sticks and balls, and after all now you can make sure that hubby is busy playing with the pooch... You'll have more time for taking care of the other pets, or wait, since you already do most of the other pets in the care department does this mean that hubby has to learn a new trick or two? :)

Do you know how to teach a man to chase a ball? Get a Jack Russel Terrier! They'll love spending hours in the back yard together... Now if the man refuses to play, there are always sticks and carrots that can be applied, to engage hubby's interest in sticks and balls, I'm sure I made my point, I don't think I can be any more clearer in my writing without making some sort of strange writing violation... :)

I think I better stop here, have a good night all, I'll be around.

Peace and Blessings,

Sincerely,

Gary

awwwwww

A JRT, oy, that fellow is going to keep you busy! You should try agility, Jack Russels do really well.

We're thinking of adding a little fish tank with some dwarf frogs and such. We're (supposedly) waiting until our oldest dog passes on before getting another dog. He's a 13 y.o. Vizsla, so that can be any time, but he's doing pretty well and I'd like to wait until the kids aren't so.... SO, if you know what I mean.

Still, I can't wait for a new dog to train :)

Enjoy your new family member, hope he fits in well!

Ammorton WELCOME to my world:(

Sassys

LOL I said when we got our apartment that we would be "animal free" well minus the kids...anyhoo that lasted about two, 2, yes TWO, weeks! I love cats and dogs...and I even love fish...but I know that when all is said and done "have scooper will scoop" UGH!! Your hubby wants this puppy, he just doesn't want the responsibility, and that sucks! I am with ya on this one pal...get him to help you no? LOL that's like me asking my daughter if she's scooped the litter box...her answer will be "yes mom" but when my nostrils hit the entrance to my apartment I know that she either missed some, or she didn't do the job...kinda like when we were kids, we would purposely do a crappy job so that the person "in charge" would either assign it to someone else or do it themselves...good luck with this:)

Oh the hubby is going to help

He actually said this dog would be riding with him on his motorcycle. I told him he was nuts!!
This puppy is really cute, well, he wasn't so cute at 2:00 am this morning, when he decided he was ready to play and bite and chew and lick me.

That is because women know

That is because women know best how to look after the needy, which is why men get married, that and the sex of course.

I am what I am

Our Jack is ten

And because one Jack was plenty of pep, we have only one dog. But she is slowing down. Takes her some time to get out of bed and make her hind legs work...but once warmed up, she chases and growls at her toys same as always.

Yep-Jellen this one has so much energy

I think though it it good for my chihuahua. They chase each other around the house like crazy. Even my Yorkie has wrestling matches with him and this can go on for up to an hour and a half.
I find myself telling them to cool it for awhile-as if they were kids-lol.

yes modelmom-he actually is sleeping all night

long now--but in my bed with me. So yes it is like having another baby in the house. Did I sign up for this? I dont think so. Cute as he is, I am stuck with him-lol.

I will say after a long night of sleeping-he is ready to go for two to three hours until he poops out for a nap.

My friend tells me we have a zoo-three cats, three dogs. We used to have hamsters, and two birds, and oh yes we also had my daughters rat for a short time until he died. I must be crazy!lol
