Warning: Work at home opps!

Bet you've seen things like this before: Work From Home! Be Your Own Boss! Earn As Much Money As You Like! Pay $xxx and make $xxxxx! Here's a warning for you: they are all a load of total crap. Trust me, I was dumb enough to take them at face value and try the god-awful things. Much to my disappointment of course. There are very few exceptions to this rule. Ask yourself this when considering one of these money-grabbing scams: why do I have to 'invest' money to do a job? If it's too good to be true, IT PROBABLY IS! You have been duly warned.

re: work at home opps

Seconded. Emphatically. When presented by one of these scams, step back a moment and ask "who's really getting rich here?" My $5 times N number of idiots ... You might just figure out it's enough for a nice trip to the Bahamas but not enough to support a business. So guess what ...?

Sorry. You don't get rich quick. You get rich slow, by finding something (an object or an idea) that everyone else wants and only you have, and by being good and lucky enough to sell that something to people before the copycats bury you. The lotteries make their money off those who are dumb, ignorant and lazy enough to think otherwise. Hell, "dumb, ignorant and lazy" is what we teach in the schools. Keeps The Machine happy.

You are right...

This is absolutely true. Scams are nothing new, but they seem to be rampant on the Internet especially. If someone is promising wealth with little or no work involved, don't trust it for a moment, especially when you need to pay money to get started.
