Visiting England & Maybe Australia

I am visiting England next year. The objective is to take enough pictures of old costumes and buildings that I can stop spending hours looking for photos I can use on book covers. At first, I never thought about visiting England. Then, I realized that it will cost less than $1500 for one week, including flight.

England is a tourist destination - but not a hot one. This means that you can visit some great things, but you pay much less than other places. It will be fun, as I also get to write off the trip as a business expense.

I would also like to visit Australia and spend a few weeks hoppingHotels in Brisbanesome day, only because many of the Enspiren Press authors are there. Hotels in Brisbane are reasonable, and very nice. For the same price in Canada I would be forced to stay at the Holiday inn. Even so- flights are expensive.

Not to say that there are not cheap hotels in Brisbane, but just that luxury comes with a lower price tag. Unfortunately, I do not think I could write off a trip to Australia unless I was invited as a public speaker.

London is one of the most expensive places I've ever visited. My worst experience with the cost took place at the end of October, too. It's second only to Norway. The rest of the UK doesn't seem to be as bad, especially if you stay in a B & B and stay away from the luxury hotels.
