Veterans March on the DNC

Oh, sweet Jesus, you've got to read THIS. Not only is it a very fine piece of writing, it talks about one of the most moving events to happen since the Presidential Primaries began.
This, folks, is what the soldiers think of the war in Iraq. This is what the soldiers, the men and women who have offered up their lives for this country, have to tell us. And this major event is what was NOT reported on your cable news services.
Read it, please.

I wrote a loooong comment here and then pushed some wrong button...*SOB*
Not only can you not find this news on Cable but you wont see it on ABC,CBS,Or NBC. I heard about this on our local PBS station...and the coolest thing about this is the Obama campaign are all over it...McCain should be the one addressing this issue as he is the so called "veteran" and yet he is totally ignoring it...so much for his POW status.
You were having a Pussy Willow moment, were you, Sassys?
LOL!
Actually, I think the coolest thing about this is that this group of veterans went to Obama with their letter because they recognize that he is the man that can bring this unfounded war to an end. They would naturally not approach McWar because he thinks pulling out means 'defeat.'
Well, McCain's definition of defeat, as it relates to the war in Iraq, is different than mine. We were defeated the day we began this war. We lost - credibility, honor, respect and justice - the day the first bomb dropped. And we did it to ourselves.
Them's some scary moments PW!!

So very well put! You are absolutely right...we also lost several thousand very young, vibrant, American men and women...McCain would not see it this way though...if it were up to him, or rather what he percieves to be an honorable war, he doesn't want to "lose" because in that twisted way of thinking we "lost" the war that he was a POW, so he is looking for some payback, and he is not above using our own kids to "justify" his pain. It is sad and dangerous at the same time.
McCain is a dinosaur. He hasn't changed his thinking
since he crashed his plane in Viet Nam. But the world has changed - alot - since then and the U.S. can not afford to enter a time warp by buying into McCain's antiquated way of thinking.
And this idiot has picked his "winner"!!

His new running mate is from the state of Alaska, Sarah Palin. Now she is relatively unknown, so I will give her the benefit of the doubt, however the odds are that she can't or wont see the distress this country is going through...we shall see.
Very unknown. But that is one good thing about her.
McCain's camp no longer has the argument that Obama is too inexperienced to lead - and that was one of his major arguments - major. Palin has one year as governor of Alaska under her belt, previously she was Mayor of a town of 5,500 - probably 7,000 if you count the bears and the caribou - and before that she was a member of the town council.
LMAO!!!

Hey ...
... Wake up and smell the gunpowder. We're winning the war in Iraq. Bush will go down as the greatest president ever. Educate yourself!
The only thing anyone smells APO is your bull!
http://bloggerparty.com/blog/sassys
Bush is a moron with a c average education..which in your book makes him a genius. He will go down in history as a thief, liar and the man that almost brought this country to total devastation...talk about getting a clue. Idiot!
Yeah, we're winning alright. But we're winning with Obama's
tactics - not Bush's, not McCain's. Bush has finally realized that the only way to win the war in Iraq is to get the hell out and he is currently working to do just that. Exactly what Obama has been pushing for and exactly what he has promised to do when he is elected.
And thanks for you offer of educational materials, but I think I'll stick to the facts.
Well yeehaw PW APOS "photo" looks

to me like a hillbilly straight from Deliverance, that's just who you need to get edumacated from.
Yeah, I'm definitely going to take educational instruction
from someone whose idea of a pithy comeback is, "get a life." LOLOLOL!!!
